Anna is having Absence seizures, also known as petite mal seizures. Nothing severe and barely noticeable, but they are a concern to us and to our Pediatrician. We will meet with the Pediatric Neuro Specialist next week to look at a course of action. Medication is the first step, and that is not our desired answer but we will trust the physicians, and research on our own and try to find the best fit for our family.
Difficult to watch your 4 year old girl, with electrodes fastened all around her head laying still on a hospital bed while the computer screen bounces. Helpless is not a comfortable place for me. Shar is amazingly strong and educated on what we are facing. I am tense and ignorant (without knowledge, but not stupid, for those that know me).

Hey Byron, one of our older two had "benign rolandic seizures" which was treated with medicine from age 7 to 13. Lots of folks prayed for him, and lots of folks will be praying for Anna. Hang in there.
