Blake's birthday came at great time in our lives but also at a very busy time. Born in Week 0 of football season was great, but since then it has been a balancing act between football games and practice and his special day. Coach Atkinson here at Keller High is very pro family and allows us to leave and return around our kids activities. It is a blessing.
I have dropped the ball because I do not have a 7 year movie of Blake and slide show to share with you all. He does not realize that but someday he will, but isn't it normally the second child that gets the shaft so maybe he will be o.k.
His birthday was great. We went to Saturday night church and were able to stay home Sunday morning and do family birthday. Blake's big gifts this year were a Jedi Build a Bear from Shar's parents, $40.oo in cash from MeeMaw which Blake bought a remote control 4 wheeler and his first real set of golf clubs from my parents. He was fired up. Our big gift to Blake was his first Keller Indian Football Jersey. He will be wearing this to the games this year and is so pumped. Shar gave him number 10 and had his name put across the back. So very cool.
The official party was at Chuck E Cheese that afternoon and it was a blast. 13 kids total and a handful of parents and good friends. It takes a special friend to sit a C.E.C. for 2 hours and we have those people here.
I love my son and I am so thankful for how is growing and maturing and learning. He is a wonder to me and I praise God for how he was made.
Your mom and I love you son and cherish our time together. Have a wonderful year.
