Our bed time routine has changed with Blake. He is now in a big boy bed, and has cool sheets with soccer balls and footballs on them. He loves to read stories, 7 or 8 if he gets his way and then a Bible story on top of that. Keeping him in bed has been a struggle these past few months. He just likes getting up and walking around a bit. We have tried all the suggested forms of punishment and counseling to convince Blake of the importance of staying in bed. What has worked off and on the past week or so is this: after we read our story and say our prayers and blessing, Blake asks if Shar or I will sleep with him. How sweet it was for our son to want to spend his last few waking moments for the day resting along side his parents. The sweet feeling comes to a quick end when a few minutes later Blake quietly tells you to go to your bed.
