Night

I am watching the kids grow and it is flying by me.  I remember writing that same line in a blog 2 and 3 and 4 years ago, and yet it still amazes me how fast time is flying by and how much I am wanting it to slow down.

I was on the computer tonight after dinner, and Blake came to me with his shoulder pads, helmet and jersey.  He informed me he had a football game and needed help getting dressed. He can put his pads on but can't get his jersey on by himself, and my reply that the football boys also need help is all he needs to hear.  With the jersey on and his helmet in hand he heads toward the living room and begins his stretches.  This is all the invitation that Anna needs to get her cheer leading outfit on and grab a U.T. pompom and cheer on her brother.  At that game tonight they were both the Longhorns.  Great game. We won.

Songs before bedtime have a tradition with us.  Shar and Anna are more often together and Blake and I are on our own.  Anna requests certain songs from Shar and Blake and I pick everything from The Lord Bless you and keep you to I can't fight this feeling anymore.  Tonight Blake and I forgot to sing and he came to get me twenty minutes later and reminded me about missing our songs.  I followed him back to his room and he asked for a song from when he was a baby.  I sang this special song to both kids as newborns and infants and toddlers and somehow I have left it out of the order lately.  Beautiful song to sing to your growing child.

The Lord our God, is with you, He is mighty to save
The Lord will take, great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love
The Lord our God, is with you, He is mighty to save
The Lord will take, great delight in you, He will quite you with His love
He will rejoice, over you, He will rejoice, over you
If you could only hear His voice, You would hear the Lord rejoice
Rejoicing over you, with singing

I have to say I do not know that song! But it sounds pretty. Also, tell Sharla that I wont be available the weekend of the 24th. If she wants to get together or something let me know 1st of Feb might look better! I hope y'all are doing well. Hope to see y'all sometime soon!
