Good News At Last

Dad is ready to be kicked out of St. Luke's Hospital at the Texas Medical Center. The echo that took place this morning was very smooth, with a great tech. that was really kind to dad and did her best to make it comfortable for him. The test took place about 10:30 this morning and the results were in and the doctor was at our door by 11:30. The blood mass has become smaller and the body is doing it's job by slowly absorbing it. Discharge will be Friday morning and their plane leaves at 2:30. We have another echo in Ca. next Friday and then a full CAT scan in 1 year. Dad and mom were so happy. What a great ending. They will be leaving exactly 2 weeks after we went in for surgery.

Thank you so much for your time and efforts in reading my ramblings. Your prayers were answered and I thank you for praying and thank God for being faithful. The community of believers that has come before God on our behalf is amazing. For being such week, sinful people we serve an incredible God.

Now that all of this seems over, what will you do? Is this arena for my thoughts something that you will look at in the future? Is it possible that a coach from Texas could have something interesting to say? I will still be here throwing out my thoughts on life, church, marriage, parenting, and many other less significant topics. You are welcome to read along, disagree, argue or applaud. I'll leave it up to you.

Bye for now, and thank you for loving my family.

Keep 'em comin', Coach! You've almost inspired me to start my own. But right now I'm having a good time just reading others and getting to know some folks better. I feel like I have a new friend in your dad....

Fantastic news my friend. Praise God for the bullet proof vest of prayer, medicine, and faith that surrounded Don.

I can't wait to be motivated, inspired, and challenged by you and your posts. If it can work for a seventh grade football team, then I know it can work for me!

Oh, no. I nearly didn't notice my name in your list of "good stuff" there. I may need to go do some editing of some of that now that someone else is actually reading it. It probably wasn't as tempered as I would like - I just kind of went into rant mode. Sorry.

But keep yours going! I'll be watching from the parking lot.

Glad your dad is fine and headed home.
