The Life in Ft. Worth

Life is busy here in Keller. We are having fun and surviving, but change is still a struggle and we all miss the comfort of what we knew in Temple/Belton, but are excited about what God has planned for us her in Keller.

We have had our first football games here at Keller High. We played the Weatherford Kangaroos here at Keller and had a great game. The game began like this and only got better as the night went on. We ended up winning 36 to Zero which is a great way to start a season. This coming week we play our second non district game against Fossil Ridge which is a 4a school in Keller. I hope to share more good news next week.

Shar and the kids are starting school tomorrow. Yes that is correct; Shar is going back to school, as a preschool teacher/aid at Young Children's World which is the preschool at Richland Hills Church of Christ. Both the kids will be in school there an opportunity came to up for Shar to be there in a working capacity. I hope they have a great first day of school.

We visited a new church this morning. With various family in town and visits to churches with college friends we have not had the chance to go to the local churches here in Keller. This morning we went to the Heritage Church here in Keller. The parents of our good friends from college go there and had invited us the first week we were in town. We were reminded of two things this morning. 1. Looking for a new church really bites. 2. The parents of your best friends from college will still buy you lunch after church. The Heritage church seems like a really neat church and we will definitely be back for a few more visits.

Finally, since I was home a little bit this weekend I had a chance to spend some time with the kids, in activities that Shar does during most of football season, like bath time. Here is a little clip of Anna Jo from her bath this past Saturday night. It you can name the original singer of this song then you will win the grand prize.

Random people on Blake's prayer list tonight included Brook, Emma and Caroline. Also, Big Connor got a mention in tonight's prayer. It is odd the names that Blake remembers and thinks to say during his prayers.

Also, a few new pics have been added if you are interested.

Have a great week. Blessing to you all.
